Jupp Heynckes' Leverkusen lost for the first time this season in Nürnberg.
"It was a bitter defeat for us"
bundesliga.de brings you all the coaches reactions from Matchday 25 in the German top flight.

1899 Hoffenheim 1-0 1. FSV Mainz 05

Ralf Rangnick (1899 Hoffenheim): "We were poor in the first half, we weren't direct enough. We had our best phase in the first 20 minutes of the second half but that was when we conceded the goal. We chose the wrong option too many times afterwards."

Thomas Tuchel (FSV Mainz 05): "I am only as good as my players. They were cool, calm in possession and attacked at the right times. All credit to the lads for the performance, they got their just rewards."

1. FC Nürnberg 3-2 Bayer Leverkusen

Dieter Hecking (1. FC Nürnberg): "It was a great performance from the lads. We weren't safe even at 3-0 up, but the team fought magnificently. Choupo-Moting was excellent. We were hoping he'd overcome his barren spell and today he produced what he has been in training for so long."

Jupp Heynckes (Bayer Leverkusen): "It's a bitter defeat for us. Nürnberg deserved the victory based on our first-half performance - you can't expect to win playing like that. We showed courage to come back in the last 20 minutes but Nürnberg showed great determination and some decent football too."

Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach

Jürgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund): "We had to work hard and invested a lot in the game and as a result we controlled the game and scored some great goals. I enjoyed all of them."

Michael Frontzeck (Borussia Mönchengladbach): "Dortmund deserved the win, we had a really bad day. We've been great for months so I can accept one performance like that but we're going to have to show a reaction against Wolfsburg next week."

SC Freiburg 1-2 Hannover 96

Robin Dutt (SC Freiburg): "We didn't play particularly well in the first half but we worked hard and didn't give away any chances. We missed some sitters, mind, and the defeat makes our situation a lot worse."

Mirko Slomka (Hannover 96): "Both sides began nervously - you could tell how much was riding on this game. The quality wasn't too good, but that doesn't matter. We finally got a win and that will do us a world of good."

1. FC Köln 1-1 Bayern München

Zvonimir Soldo (1. FC Köln): "We played well as a team in the first half but were under pressure in the second and were a bit lucky at times. Overall, though, I think the draw was a fair result. Lukas was highly motivated and hopefully his goal will be the start of something."

Louis van Gaal (Bayern München): "We played as we wanted to in the first 15 minutes. After that we were far too central which was silly as it was too crowded. In the second half we used the flanks more but unfortunately we couldn't score a second goal."

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-4 Schalke 04

Michael Skibbe (Eintracht Frankfurt): "I was hugely disappointed with our first-half performance. I warned them about Schalke being dangerous from set pieces but still we conceded two goals that way. After the break we improved but if you concede four times, you deserve to lose."

Felix Magath (Schalke 04): "The winning margin was a bit flattering. In the first half we went in front via two set pieces. After the break we hit the skids and lost control of the game, but luckily we were able to decide the match with two counters."

Werder Bremen 2-2 VfB Stuttgart

Thomas Schaaf (Werder Bremen): "I wasn't happy with the first half. We were too passive and were punished as a result. Afterwards, we were far more decisive and direct and in the end I think the draw wasn't undeserved."

Christian Gross (VfB Stuttgart): "We missed a great chance to pick up three points in Bremen. We had several chances to sew the game up with a third goal. After they scored we weren't as dominant and conceded another goal as a result."

Hamburger SV 1-0 Hertha BSC

Bruno Labbadia (Hamburger SV): "We moved the ball around well in the first half and stay calm. After the break we were poor. They threw everything forward as they didn't have anything to lose. I think we just have to keep quiet and be happy with the three points."

Friedhelm Funkel (Hertha BSC): "There was plenty of passion and aggression but typically for us, we didn't manage to score a goal. I can't criticise the team, though, they got stuck in and did their best to get forward."

VfL Wolfsburg 4-1 VfL Bochum

Lorenz-Günther Köstner (VfL Wolfsburg): "Compliments to the team - they didn't panic at 1-0 down. We know we have the quality to come back from a goal down and in the second half we played very well and deserved the win."

Heiko Herrlich (VfL Bochum): "I think we played well in the opening 30 minutes and deserved to take the lead. We came under a lot of pressure thereafter and in the second half we lost the ball too easily. I think they deserved the victory, even if the margin was a bit high."
